Family Service

If you enjoyed our Easter trail earlier this year, you will enjoy a family service we are holding this Sunday (26th May) at 4.00pm. Even if you didn’t make it to the Easter trail, we would love to invite you to come along to Bethel on Sunday afternoon and join us.

There will be bible stories, songs, activities and refreshments served afterwards. The service will be suitable for all ages, although aimed at primary school aged children.

No need to book or let us know, just turn up and you will be very welcome. If you want to know any more details, either contact us or give Jim (our pastor) a ring on 07772532897.

Easter trail 2024

We would love to invite you to our Easter Trail for 2024. Learn more about the Easter story and the good news of Jesus as you take a short walk around Laleston, learning a little more at each stop. This event is for families (children need to be accompanied) and aimed at children up to year 6, but all ages are welcome.

There will be the story itself, also crafts, activities, face painting, songs and refreshments. Oh, there might also be a few Easter eggs too! The event is completely free and you can start the trail anytime between 3pm-4pm from the church in Laleston.

Come and join us on Saturday 23rd March from 3pm.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Cawl lunch

You are warmly invited to join us for a cawl lunch on Thur 22nd Feb 2024 at midday. We want to mark St. David’s day but to avoid clashing with other events, we are holding ours slightly early.

Come and enjoy some homemade cawl and other Welsh treats. This is a free event and all are welcome.

Christmas 2023

We would love you to join us for any (or all!) of our special Christmas events this year.

Thur 14th December

10.00am Christmas coffee break – all welcome to join us anytime from 10am-12pm for a drink and some Christmas treats. There will be a short thought-for-the-day style talk at around 11am.

Sun 17th December

4.00pm Family Nativity – Calling all children! This one is definitely for you. We are holding our first ever family nativity (sometimes called a scratch nativity). Come and be part of retelling the world’s most famous story. Come dressed in your favourite nativity costume (Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, even a donkey if you like) and be part of the story for a while. There will be songs, actions and a short Christmas talk at the end.
Service will last around 45 mins and be followed by refreshments. There might be goody bags too.

Sun 24th December

10.30am Christmas family service – Accessible service for all the family to prepare for the big day.

6.00pm Carols by candlelight – Traditional carol service with many of your favourite carols, Christmas readings from the bible and a short talk at the end. The perfect way to round off Christmas eve!

Refreshments will be served following both services.

Mon 25th December

10.00am Christmas morning service – Short service to start off the big day in the right way. Come and join us for 45 mins before you enjoy the rest of your Christmas day.

If you want any more information on any of these events, feel free to contact us.

Garden party 23

We are looking forward to welcoming our local community to another summer garden party at Bethel on Saturday 22nd July from 3pm.

As a part of the local community of Laleston, we want to share with our friends and neighbours and to invite you to come and join us for this free event. The garden is ready, we are hoping the weather will be kind and there will be something to do for everyone.

There will be food and drink, places to sit and chat either inside or in the garden (there will be shade too!) and crafts to occupy children as well as a bouncy castle! Also Christian books to take away and a chance to meet people from the church.

Perhaps you have had past connections with the church. Or you might be new to the area and just curious. Maybe you have never been to Bethel before. Whoever you are, we would love to see you.

In the Christian message of good news, centred on Jesus Christ, we believe we have the best news in the world and we would love to share that with you.

Easter trail

Come and join us for a fun Easter event for all the family. The trail all takes place in and around the church and will involve the Easter story, crafts and activities and refreshments. There are sure to be a few Easter eggs around too!

No need to book, just turn up anytime between 3pm and 4pm on Sat 1st April. The event is aimed at primary school children, but all are welcome.

And if you want to hear more about why Easter is important to us as Christians, why not join us for our services on Easter Sunday (9th April) at either 10.30am or 6.00pm. We would love to see you there.

For any more information, contact us.
